This is a picture of the pond in the spring of 97. March to be
exact. The pond
is finally full for the first time. And, it looks good.
It took about 1 3/4 years to
fill. We were lucky to be aided by a very wet year. Without
that rain it might
have taken up to three years to completely fill. The water is
looking really good.
Although, there is a noticable lack of plant growth. That's caused
by the constant
rising water level. The summer that followed produced cattails
and a currently
unidentified water plant. The fish seem really happy with the
way things are.
